Overview

Orbit Labs had a brilliant idea — a task manager that understood context, not just due dates. But their MVP was a nightmare of nested menus and cognitive overload. They needed a complete reimagination before their Product Hunt launch.

iOS Android UX Research

The Challenge

The core feature set was complex: AI-suggested task prioritisation, team collaboration, time-blocking, and habit tracking — all in a mobile interface. The risk: either bury the smart features or overwhelm new users on day one.

Our Approach

How We Solved It

01

UX Simplification

Ran progressive disclosure workshops to separate "Day 1" features from power-user features. Built onboarding flows that revealed depth over time, not all at once.

02

Design Sprint

Ran a 5-day design sprint with Orbit's founding team. Prototyped 3 IA structures, tested with 30 users, and converged on a single-surface interaction model.

03

Cross-Platform Dev

Built in React Native with platform-specific UI components — respecting iOS and Android conventions while maintaining a unified design system.

The Solution

What We Built

A gesture-first interface where one swipe reveals priority, another reveals context. The AI assistant surfaces on demand — never interrupting the user's flow. The result was an app that felt both powerful and calm.

"Navsetu Labs turned our mess of features into something elegant. They pushed back when we wanted to add too much — that discipline saved the product."
